Freddie Dye Bio
Meet Freddie George Dye, born on November 17, 2017, the young go-kart sensation turning heads on the track. Son of former motorcycle racer Jimmy Dye, Freddie’s passion for speed is in his DNA. From meticulously parking his pedal tractor to mastering his first kart, Freddie’s talent was undeniable from the start.
Freddie's journey began with a battered 2019 Comer C50 kart, quickly progressing to a Bambino Iame 60cc. Despite limited financial resources and no professional team or trainers, Freddie's raw talent and determination have propelled him into the ranks of the fastest young racers in the country. Reaching speeds of up to 55mph, nothing seems to faze this young prodigy.
With minimal knowledge of kart setup, gearing, and tire pressures, it's been a family effort with his dad, mum, and sister Darcey providing unwavering support. His best friend and unwavering supporter, Denzil the Rottweiler, is always by his side, bringing an extra dose of courage and companionship to Freddie's racing adventures.
Freddie is also venturing into the electric MightE Bambino kart, gearing up for his first British National round at Rowrah on June 22-23. His humble and hungry spirit drives him to prove his mettle against the best, with aspirations to compete in the National Superone Championship next year.
